Christian artist, Barbie Hunt holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master’s Degrees in Ceramics and English Literature. For ten years, she owned and operated Pennyroyal Pottery and, for nine years, was Director of the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts. Barbie brings God’s presence into everything she creates, including her prophetic art and handmade PrayerSilks.
Barbie and her husband Rush are Directors of Main Street Prayer Center and Regional Directors of the International Association of Healing Rooms. They have been committed to prayer, teaching, and calling the Church to pray with power and confidence. In 2008, Rush had a meeting with Cal Pierce and Cal said to him: “You know, the sick and the lost do not have a life and the problem is you do. If you will give up your life, there is no end to what you will see God do.” Through their healing ministry, along with many trained volunteers, they have witnessed hundreds of people receive personal transformations and healings. Rush and Barbie have published numerous books on prayer, healing, freedom, and ministry.
Barbie’s passion for prayer and for kids led her to equip and release children to pray in teams in churches and in Healing Rooms. As Founder and Director of the international Healing Rooms Kids ministry, she has led Healing Rooms Kids teams for over 10 years, authored the Healing Rooms Kids Training Manual, personally trained Healing Rooms Kids leaders and teams in the states, and abroad, and most recently developed a digital online training course, Healing Rooms Kids Leadership Academy, that has trained leaders in 20 different states and 7 foreign nations.
